Take a look at IoT-Based Fleet Management Solutions From Telkomsel

With a total number of motor vehicles (excluding motorcycles) reaching 24 million units by 2016, and 40% of them being commercial vehicles, Indonesia has a large market potential for Fleet Management solutions. This is what makes Telkomsel moved to launch the fleet management solutions for the enterprise.

Telkomsel FleetSight is a fleet management solutions based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This service synergizes satellite-based telematics devices (including sensors) paired with mobile assets/vehicles, with Telkomsel’s connectivity services and Fleet Management platform.

President Director of Telkomsel Ririek Adriansyah said the solution is expected to help the client users in overcoming the problems associated with fleet operations. Telkomsel FleetSight minimizes risks associated with vehicle investment through enhanced safety, security, efficiency, and fleet productivity.

“This innovation is a form of our contribution in supporting the development of IoT ecosystem while accelerating the growth of the digital economy in Indonesia. We strive to become the leading provider of Fleet Management solutions in Indonesia by delivering innovative digital technology and top-notch professional services, “Ririek said in a press release received by Gizmologi (27/11/2017).

Further explained, vertical solutions integrated with Telkomsel IoT Control Center service is the answer to the company’s needs in optimizing productivity and improve fleet safety / operational fleet they have.

To deploy Telkomsel FleetSight service, the operators of Telkom Group and Singtel subsidiaries are cooperating with Michelin tire producers through its subsidiary Sascar. The company is a global provider of Fleet Management Solutions with more than 265 thousand vehicles already connected to the application platform.

How Telkomsel’s Fleet Management Solutions Works

Telkomsel FleetSight service is supported by 2G and 3G network connectivity that already reaches more than 95% of the population in Indonesia. The service also adopts international standard technology including a tracking device that can operate on both 2G and 3G networks to ensure continuity of service.

The way this service works is that there is a high-sensitivity GPS-based telematics device embedded in the fleet and connected to the platform through Telkomsel’s 2G / 3G network. Furthermore, through the Internet network, all data and information about the fleet can be accessed by users through the Web Dashboard is designed in such a way by considering User Interface and User Experience.

Service managed services concept is also called giving business benefits to the user’s clients. Where Telkomsel offers business schemes that are easy, flexible, and fully implemented according to clients’ business needs. In addition, the technology infrastructure used by FleetSight services will enable integration with existing platforms owned by users.
