Jakarta, Gizmologi – Every year, various global electronics vendors to smartphones seem to be competing to present the best version of the device through the Mobile World Congress 2022 event, which will be held in Barcelona later this month. In the latest news, realme will participate in the event. The Chinese company will not only launch smartphones but also charging technology.

realme wants to showcase a technology whose benefits will be greatly felt by smartphone users. The company will introduce charging technology, which is claimed to be the fastest in the world. This technology is ready to be introduced on the same day as the launch of its latest flagship smartphone in 2022, the realme GT 2 Pro.

The fastest charging in the world?

In the picture above, you can see a smartphone that is charging via a cable, with several holes such as speakers and a SIM card slot along with a design like a flagship smartphone.

The phrase “the fastest smartphone charging technology in the world”, is a very high claim considering that other vendors have released charging solutions up to 165W though. Even a 200W smartphone charging demo has been successfully achieved since June 2021. Then roughly, how much is the wattage value in the latest realme charging system this time?

Just like a camera that can’t be judged by the amount of resolution, there are several factors other than the number of watts that can determine the process or charging speed. For example, the use of special adapters or cables that can minimize wasted power, or the use of a dual cell system or two batteries in one smartphone.

One of the leading information leakers, Digital Chat Station has previously informed that realme is indeed preparing 80W and 150W charging. A value that is much higher than the 65W SuperDart on the realme flagship this time. Just need to wait for its implementation in the final product.

Still related to realme’s preparations for presenting the world’s fastest fast charging technology, Gizmochina also just managed to get an image that is suspected to be realme’s new charging adapter. Even though it looks normal, the charger has a power value of 200W, aka even more than a number of gaming laptop chargers.

Shown in white with a size similar to the 65W adapter, this leaked realme fast charging adapter has the code number VCK8HACH, along with power output information that runs at 20V 10A current, making it able to deliver a maximum power of 200W. Interestingly, this charger is also inclusive.

Because in the text on the adapter, it also says USB PD support aka Power Delivery. However, unlike the GaN charger, the output is only 45W, with a configuration of 15V 3A or 20V 2.25A. That way, this adapter can also charge other devices, say the Galaxy S22 Ultra to its maximum speed. We’ll just have to wait for the truth of the presence of this adapter.
