Telkomcel itself is a subsidiary of Telkom Group Indonesia which operates in the Timor Leste region. Well, MyTimor itself is an online motorbike and taxi application, which is similar to Grab or GoJek in Indonesia, to transport people and deliver the first goods / packages in Timor-Leste.
According to Yogi Rizkian Bahar, CEO of Telkomcel, this application is an innovative product made by Indonesian children from the Telkomcel team so that the people of Timor-Leste can continue to carry out productive activities safely and easily during the COVID-19 pandemic.
MyTimor, the First Online Transportation Application in Timor Leste
Telkomcel sees that Timor-Leste is a country that is increasingly developing and has an active millennial generation in utilizing digital technology. The name MyTimor application is taken from the word “Hau Nia Timor” in the language of tetum, the local language of Timor-Leste which means ‘belonging’.
MyTimor can be an application that can be used for the people of Timor-Leste during the State Emergency to remain productive in carrying out activities safely and practically. Such as traveling, and sending goods / packages within the city of Dili.
MyTimor is the first online transportation application in Timor-Leste, with a fairly good interface and user experience. In running this application, Telkomcel collaborates with Corrotrans, a local Timor Leste company that has a taxi business.

The MyTimor feature is similar to Grab or Gojek
At first glance this application has the same aspects as Grab or Gojek, starting from the driver registration process to some of its services. The MyTimor application ensures better network stability in the ordering process and location tracking to security because the server location is in Timor-Leste. In addition, the advantages of MyTimor can be used by all telecommunication operator numbers operating in Timor Leste.
MyTimor was inaugurated on 4 December 2020 which was attended by the Indonesian Ambassador to Timor-Leste HE. Sahat Sitorus. Also attended by the Minister of Telecommunications and Transportation of Timor-Leste HE. Jose Agustino and several related ministry officials.
Yogi added, Telkomcel hopes that this application can make it easier for people to carry out activities or shop through online applications, make delivery of goods / packages more easily, comfortably, safely.
“In addition, the presence of the MyTimor application which will accompany and facilitate people’s daily activities is in line with the purpose of the existence of the Telkomcel team which is able to work with meaning and purpose.
