1. Turn off Smartphone

Before starting cleaning, always make sure that the smartphone is turned off. This is important to avoid the risk of damage to electronic components due to moisture or liquid accidentally entering the device.

2. Use a Microfiber Cloth

Shape of Microfiber Cloth

Microfiber cloth is the best choice for cleaning smartphone screens. This material is soft and effective in removing dust and oil without scratching the screen surface. Avoid using tissues, towels, or rough cloths that may leave fibers or scratches.

  • How to clean the smartphone screen: Wipe the screen gently in a circular motion. If there are stubborn oil stains, slightly dampen the microfiber cloth with water, then wipe again.

3. Avoid Cleaning Fluids Containing Chemicals

Household cleaning products containing alcohol, ammonia, or other harsh chemicals can damage the screen's protective coatings such as anti-fingerprint (oleophobic) coatings. It is best to avoid using these cleaning agents.

If necessary, you can use a special cleaning fluid for electronic screens that does not contain harsh chemicals. Spray a little liquid on a microfiber cloth, not directly onto the smartphone screen.

4. Cleaning Holes and Gaps (Ports and Speakers)

Dust often accumulates in the charging port area, speakers, and other gaps on smartphones. Here's how to safely clean the area:

  • Use a soft brush: You can use a soft-bristled brush to clean dust from the speaker ports or holes. Avoid brushing too hard to avoid damaging the components inside.
  • Compressed air: If there is dust that is hard to reach, spray compressed air into the area to clean the dirt. Do not blow air from your mouth as it may contain moisture.

Make sure that when cleaning the gaps in the Port or Speaker, you do not use sharp objects, as this could damage the Port. It is recommended to use a soft or blunt object, so that you can easily clean the gaps that are prone to dust.

5. Cleaning Smartphone Casing

HP casings are also susceptible to dirt, oil and dust. The cleaning steps depend on the casing material:

  • Silicone or rubber cases: Wash the case with mild soapy water, then dry with a microfiber cloth before reinstalling.
  • Plastic or polycarbonate cases: Wipe the case with a cloth dampened with water, then dry. If the case has oil stains, use a mild cleaning fluid.

6. Don't Use Too Much Fluid

When using water or cleaning fluid, do not wet the cloth too much. Water dripping into the device's openings may cause internal damage. Make sure the cloth is only damp, not wet. Remember, excessive liquid can damage several cellphone components if the water accidentally enters the inside of the cellphone.

7. Do How to Clean Your Smartphone Regularly

Cleaning your smartphone at least once a week will help keep the device clean and prevent dust and oil from building up. By cleaning regularly, you can also extend the life of your device and keep it looking like new.

Cleaning your phone from dust and oil is an important step to maintain the cleanliness and performance of the device. By following the steps above, you can do it safely and without risk of damage. Always use gentle materials and avoid harsh cleaning fluids or products. Remember, proper care can keep your smartphone functioning well and looking its best.
