realme GT is back! After being absent in Indonesia for the past few years, we finally have a more premium realme smartphone option again. Still carrying an affordable price tag, the realme GT 6 comes as a flagship killer—a term generally used for a product that can offer a premium experience, at a much cheaper price of course.
Interestingly, the realme GT 6 was introduced globally as a smartphone that is ready to popularize AI technology, which has only recently been embedded in many premium class smartphones. Not only does it excel in performance, but it can also optimize camera quality and daily activities. It also comes with the brightest screen on a smartphone, at least as of this writing.

Design
If realme really wants to highlight the futuristic side, then I think it is very appropriate, especially for the realme GT 6 Fluid Silver color variant that I am reviewing this time. It looks like a device that could appear in a Sci-Fi movie, it looks shiny, thin and quite flashy.
The rear body surface of the realme GT 6 uses glass material with a mirror metal texture, which has a high level of reflectivity. As we know, generally similar types of surfaces are easily dirty or leave fingerprints. However, the Misty AG process on the surface of the realme GT 6 is able to reduce fingerprints effectively—except for the camera area which is actually made like glass.
Even though it appears in a two-tone color, the surface is made seamless, meaning it is completely smooth between the two silver accents. The 3D curve on the edge of the rear body makes the realme GT 6 feel thinner in the hand. It has a thickness of 86mm, weighing less than 200 grams.
The additional extra finishing on the body makes the realme GT 6 free from minor scratches—even though I used it without a case for two weeks along with other items in my bag, it remained smooth without any minor scratches at all. In addition to IP65 protection which makes it safe from water splashes, Gizmo friends also have another color option, namely Razor Green.
Camera
Mention “"flagship killer" nowadays can no longer be interpreted as a smartphone that only excels in terms of performance. realme GT 6 is one of the smartphones that can prove that its camera quality can still compete—even exceeding my expectations. Through a combination of fairly classy camera sensors.
The main camera sensor of the realme GT 6 uses one of the latest from Sony, namely the LYT-808 50MP OIS with a large sensor dimension of 1/14 inches. This type of sensor is also used in other premium flagships, including foldables. There are two other sensors with different functions.
Namely the ISOCELL JN5 50MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical magnification (47mm), and the IMX355 8MP ultra-wide. Yes, what feels simple is the third sensor, but the quality of the photos produced is still reliable for various needs. Meanwhile, the telephoto has a magnification that I think is really suitable for producing the best portraits.
Camera features such as Street Mode, Long Exposure which can be taken without the help of a tripod, to Starry Mode are also present on the realme GT 6. But what I think plays a big role in producing the best photos in all lighting conditions is the optimal camera algorithm. Thanks to the ISP of the chipset, the quality main sensor, and the HyperTone Engine as a special AI algorithm.
The resulting photos produced produce satisfying detail, color and dynamic range. The main sensor is really reliable in many scenarios and has a fast response, including at night. The night mode can be activated automatically without having to be activated manually, and the shutter lag is not that long.
Surprisingly, the telephoto sensor can also produce bright photos with minimal noise in indoor conditions—plus eye-pleasing skin tones, thanks to the HyperTone Engine algorithm. What could be improved is the ability to take photos with zoom further than 4x, as well as the ultra-wide angle quality. Apart from that, it can be said to be in the same class as the latest flagship.

Both the main and telephoto sensors on the realme GT 6 camera can record videos up to 4K 60fps. But when it drops down to 4K 30fps, you can switch between sensors during recording. Dropping back down to 1080p 30fps, all three sensors can be used simultaneously. Stabilization is optimal at the highest recording option.
In the video recording section, realme presents a special AI feature called AI Night Vision Mode. Simply put, it's like a video-only night mode, which can be activated with just one touch, and works in real-time. This feature is only optimal in completely dark conditions, and is certainly very useful in some scenarios when using a flash is not possible.

Trying to present the best visual experience, realme GT 6 brings a flagship-grade screen, even with its own advantages. Namely, it brings a maximum brightness level of up to 6000 nits! Where realme managed to take the claim of the world's first smartphone with the highest brightness.
For Gizmo friends and me who often do outdoor activities, this benefit is really enjoyable. Not only that, it also helps when, for example, you have to place the realme GT 6 on the dashboard of a car cabin when you need to use it for navigation—a scenario that I'm sure many people do on a daily basis. When the scenario takes place during the day, the benefits will also be felt.
The realme GT 6 screen measures 678 inches, using an AMOLED panel with 3D curvature on both sides. Resolution 1.5K, maximum refresh rate 120Hz, 100% DCI-P3 color standard and already supports 10-bit depth level. The other two are AI Smart Removal and AI Smart Loop. AI Smart Removal allows you to remove objects in photos. Unlike similar solutions from Google, the realme GT 6 uses AI which, in my opinion, is more advanced. Because objects with complex backgrounds can be automatically adjusted for results that are truly close to perfect, with a very high success rate.
While AI Smart Loop is present as a feature that can predict daily activities, utilizing AI of course. With a simple gesture, I can send a portion of text or an image on the smartphone screen, dragging it to “smart loop”, and the smartphone will predict what applications I will access later.
Performance
Apart from an impressive camera, a flagship must have maximum performance, including to meet the needs of heavy users. realme chose one of Qualcomm's newest chips with high performance, namely Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. It already uses 4nm fabrication, and has the latest Prime-Core X4 CPU core with a maximum speed of up to 3 GHz.
During use, I got a very positive impression when using the realme GT 6, both when accessing a number of heavy applications at once, and when playing games. The device's body temperature is also relatively stable—indicating an optimal cooling system. Of course, thanks to the Iceberg Vapor Cooling System which uses a three-dimensional double vapor chamber measuring up to more than 10 thousand square millimeters, as well as other cooling materials.
Another good news is that the performance of the realme GT 6 has also been optimized to run a number of popular game titles in the best quality. Like League of Legends and PUBG, for example, can run up to 120fps smoothly and fluidly. Other games such as MLBB, COD, and Genshin Impact can also be played smoothly.
Uses LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4 internal storage type.0 Overclocking also certainly has its own role—although in my opinion, it would be better if realme provided a storage option of up to 512GB for the realme GT 6, when the realme Number Series already provides this option. But of course 256GB of storage is also considered quite adequate.
Another interesting realme GT 6 performance feature is Geek Power Tuning, which can personalize CPU and GPU performance even further. It's optional, but it will be perfect for gamers. For an easier method to improve performance, you can activate GT Mode with just one touch.
Battery
In my opinion, this section is very enjoyable, and is one of the main selling points of this best realme AI smartphone. Comes with 120W SUPERVOOC Charge, charging from 2% to full without having to wait long. Just 5 minutes has reached 33%, while 15 minutes is 71%, and full in 25 minutes! It is important to remember that these values can be achieved with a larger battery capacity.
The realme GT 6 battery now has a capacity of 5500 mAh, which is larger than most other flagship smartphones, and can be present in a thin and not too heavy body. Combined with a new generation chip, the realme GT 6 is a flagship that you can use intensively all day long until the next day. Alias no need to charge before going to bed.
Want to achieve a two-day usage period? Of course it is very easy by utilizing the power saving mode in it. What can be improved in the future is to bring support for wireless charging, it will definitely be more complete for a flagship killer.

The presence of the realme GT 6 provides an interesting choice for a smartphone with a price tag of IDR 7 million, bringing many advantages including AI features that can support daily life. Appearing in a futuristic design, with a reliable camera, battery, screen and performance. Even outperforming other flagships at almost twice the price in certain areas.
