Galaxy AI Supports More Languages, Including Arabic, Indonesian and Russian

Good news for flagship gadget users Samsung Electronics. This week, the South Korean electronics giant announced the expansion of Galaxy AI which will add three new languages: Arabic, Indonesian and Russian.

Besides that, Galaxy AI also added three new dialects for Australian English, Cantonese, and Canadian French. So in total, there are currently 16 languages ​​supported by Galaxy AI. Supported languages ​​include Chinese, English (Indian, British, United States dialects), French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Mexican, Spanish, United States dialects), Thai, and Vietnamese.

According to TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Experience Business at Samsung Electronics, the company is committed to spreading the benefits of mobile AI to all by expanding Galaxy AI language support. Samsung will reach more languages, bringing Galaxy users to communicate across language barriers

“We will continue to innovate technology and lead premium mobile AI experiences so that more users have the right communication tools to unleash their limitless potential,” said TM Roh as reported on the Samsung Newsroom Indonesia page (13/1).

Samsung has a big vision in expanding the use of Galaxy AI in the daily lives of its consumers. So they continue to add language support such as Galaxy AI and other languages ​​that have many users. In addition to the 16 new languages ​​and dialects, Samsung plans to add four more languages ​​this year, including Romanian, Turkish, Dutch, and Swedish, as well as traditional Chinese and European Portuguese.

Samsung continues to empower even more Galaxy users around the world to harness the power of mobile AI. Here are some of the features that you can use on Galaxy AI:

  • Live TranslateGenerates real-time two-way voice and text translation of phone calls. Booking reservations while traveling or talking to your grandparents (from another nation) in their native language just got easier.
  • InterpreterCan instantly translate conversations directly through the screen display, user-friendly face to face with the person you are talking to and can read the text translation of what the person you are talking to is saying.
  • Chat AssistThis Galaxy AI Indonesia feature helps perfect the tone of a conversation and provides suggestions that fit the context of the conversation so that the message is conveyed well, whether it’s a polite message to a colleague or a short catchy phrase for a social media caption.
  • Note AssistCreate AI-generated summaries, templates and pre-formatted cover pages, increasing daily productivity.
  • Transcript AssistUses AI and Speech-to-Text technology to transcribe, summarize, and even translate voice recordings.
  • Browsing Assist
    Help stay up to date on what’s happening in the world while saving time by generating short summaries of news articles or web pages.

Galaxy AI features and other additional languages ​​and dialects are available starting April rollout. You may in the coming months roll out new Galaxy AI languages ​​and dialects which will be downloadable as language packs from the Settings app.
