Jakarta, Gizmologi – OPPO Indonesia just launched two new variants of the OPPO Reno7 Series. Both have supported 5G networks, and the OPPO Reno7 Z 5G is here to be a more affordable option. Even so, it brings the new Dual Orbit Lights to feature exclusively.

When compared to the OPPO Reno7 5G, the Reno7 Z 5G actually carries a Retro Slim Design with squared corners—even though it is called retro, but also creates the impression of a modern smartphone at the same time. Even though it is priced at IDR 5,999 million, the design it carries looks quite luxurious, it looks like a flagship smartphone.

Of course, OPPO doesn’t just design its devices to look beautiful. The OPPO Reno7 Z 5G has gone through a series of physical tests, is IPX4 certified, and carries the fingerprint-free OPPO Glow design. Dual Orbit Lights also contribute to enhancing the design. What are the functions that this exclusive feature brings?

Modern LED Notification Light Replacement

Dual Orbit Lights

Older smartphones released a few years ago are generally equipped with an LED notification light on the front of the smartphone. Its function? As a notification method when there are missed calls, messages, or even battery status. Over time, smartphones with AMOLED displays were able to replicate these features directly from the screen, while consuming quite a bit of power.

If you look closely, the rear camera of the OPPO Reno7 Z 5G looks like it has two large sensor protrusions. While around it there is only a flat frame, not raised like most smartphones, making it look more stylish. Apart from being a marker if this smartphone has a quality camera, it is also used for Dual Orbit Lights.

Dual Orbit Lights

With Dual Orbit Lights, the sensor circle of the Reno7 Z 5G’s rear camera can light up, emitting a blue gradient light inspired by the night sky. This light will glow around the sensor with a smooth on and off process and balanced brightness. Claimed to last at least up to a total time of 50 thousand hours.

These two Dual Orbit Lights can be activated in certain scenarios. When the device is turned on or there is a notification, the light will turn on and dim in a breathing pattern. Meanwhile, when charged, it will light up continuously as a marker and will turn off when the battery is full.

How to Use Dual Orbit Lights on Reno7 Z 5G

OPPO Reno7 Z 5G

Just got the OPPO Reno7 Z 5G and want to try the Dual Orbit Lights feature right away? Easy. Through ColorOS 12, OPPO provides its own menu to manage the function of this feature. Can be found directly from Settings – Personalization, or directly search for “Breathing Light”. In it, you can do various customizations according to your needs.

In addition to turning the feature on and off, users can also set the time span when the Dual Orbit Lights can turn on. No need to worry about wasting power—information from OPPO says that this feature only consumes 1% of power when the accumulated lights are on for 2 hours. This feature will also automatically turn off when you are activating power-saving mode.

Meanwhile, for notification markers, users can also set what applications they want to be marked via Dual Orbit Lights when there are new messages. So that you can really know whether the message received is an important message or not. Plus, the option to turn on the light when you’re running a game on your smartphone.

Even though it’s listed as using RGB lights, users can’t adjust the colors on the Dual Orbit Lights on the OPPO Reno7 Z 5G. However, from official information, the intensity of the blue color varies. Starting from electric blue, light blue, cyan blue to baby blue. It will match the two color options; Cosmic Black or Rainbow Spectrum.

Through Dual Orbit Lights, you can still show off the stylish design of the OPPO Reno7 Z 5G without worrying about missing important notifications. This smartphone is also equipped with several other advantages, such as the use of the power-efficient Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, the Bokeh Flare Portrait feature, and 33W SuperVOOC charging.
