As the last among its two main competitors, Indosat VoLTE service is immediately available in 30 cities. As a comparison, Telkomsel when it was released was only available in Jadetabek and Surabaya. Then expanded to the Bogor and Sidoarjo areas. Meanwhile, XL VoLTE service is only available in Jakarta and Medan. Indosat’s Voice over LTE or VoLTE is a service that allows us to make voice calls on a 4G-LTE based network for IM3 customers. By using VoLTE technology, customers will be able to experience calls with clearer voice with “HD voice” quality.

At the launch of this VoLTE service, Indosat Ooredoo collaborated with smartphone manufacturers such as Huawei, Oppo, Samsung, Vivo, Xiaomi, and manufacture chipsets such as Qualcomm and MediaTek. This joint collaboration aims to ensure devices that support VoLTE technology can work properly.
