After quite a long time not releasing new products, this week Toshiba launched new laptop targeting the business sector. The product, called Toshiba Portégé X20W, is claimed to be the world’s thinnest and lightest 2-in-1 business laptop with a 7th Generation Intel® Core ™ (U-Series) processor.
This hybrid laptop is elegantly designed and features a 360-degree dual-action gold hinge that allows to transfers a high-powered laptop into a versatile tablet with ease. Toshiba Portégé X20W also has a variety of security features and connectivity.
Battery time can last up to 16 hours. Reinforced with Toshiba Step Charge technology, giving up to 5 hours of usage time by 30-minute charging to provide users with productivity capabilities wherever they work.

The latest addition to the Portégé series is believed to provide the perfect combination of mobility and reliability while offering exceptional levels of security and comfort to the users.
Design
With a 15.4mm thickness and 1.1kg2 weight, the Toshiba Portégé X20W offers professionals the flexibility of laptops, tablets, and notepads in one device with beautiful Onyx blue cover and golden hinges.
Equipped with 12.5 inches diagonal, Full HD (1920 X 1080), its multi-touch wide viewing angle display provides a display quality of over 2 million pixels to the screen. The writing becomes sharper and easier to read with the right color and quality. In addition to all this, the Portégé X20W display is reinforced with an all-new Corning Gorilla®Glass 4, capable of providing screen protection from more severe damage and protection in case of accidental impact on the screen.
In addition to the beautiful non-reflective screen and magnesium chassis, the 2-in-1 laptop is powered by the seventh generation Intel® Core processor. Portégé X20W, this 2-in-1 convertible laptop has a powerful 360-degree dual-action hinge, capable of smooth transitions to five display modes, including Laptop, Tablet, Tabletop, Presentation, and Audience. You can use a sleek and high-performance laptop mode.
Then if you want to do a presentation, just rotate the screen. Tablet function is suitable to enjoy entertainment or work with digital inking. When changing modes, laptops can have system settings and by using the smart-locking feature to protect the keyboard and prevent unexpected damage.
Safety Feature
Toshiba Portégé X20W is reinforced with biometric technology and facial authentication to provide a higher level of security. Toshiba also incorporates SecurePad technology with Synaptics Natural ID fingerprint sensors mounted right on the computer’s touchpad.
The Portégé X20W laptop comes with two IR5 camera features to facilitate facial authentication through the sign-in Windows Hello face. Both of these technologies are private, secure, and password-free to log in quickly to the device.
Portégé X20W is also equipped with built-in Toshiba BIOS features that have been complemented by additional security modules. Both the BIOS and the hardware have been created by Toshiba, eliminating the risk of interference that could make the device more vulnerable to attack. It includes Trusted Platform Modules 2.0, for additional encryption and options for sign-in.

The AES Toshiba Stylus Pen can detect 2,048 levels of pressure, giving users a paper-writing experience, making Portégé X20W perfect for taking notes, drawing, catching signatures, and completing forms. Because the AES Stylus pen is battery driven, the pen is connected to the display to enable palm recognition when the pen is in use.

To maximize use, Portégé X20W can be used with Thunderbolt ™ 3 Dock6 which has various ports including USB C, HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, and LAN.
