Along with Acer’s achievement of various growth for its core business, the Taiwanese computer manufacturer has expanded its Acer Predator line of gaming with attention to great potential in the gaming market.

Acer put forward AeroBlade 3D thermal technology that enables a slimmer form factor in its newest gaming notebook, detachable and present in all-in-one PCs without overriding its performance.

At Next @ Acer event in New York, United States (4/28), Acer has launched some of the latest Predator gaming products namely Acer Predator Triton 700, Acer Predator Helios 300, and Acer Predator X27 Monitor and Predator Z271UV. The first two products are high-performance gaming notebooks. What kind of sophistication? Let’s read the following reviews, Gizmolovers.

Acer Predator Triton 700

Acer released a lightweight, thin gaming laptop, but has a high specification. Acer Predator Triton 700 is the latest generation gaming laptop with the curved screen and weighs only 2.6 kilograms.

Jerry Hou General Manager of Acer Inc., says the Acer Predator Triton 700 is developed from the 21X Predator. Using AeroBlade 3D Fan technology made from metal, make this laptop still work even though very thin. AeroBlade 3D dual technology can increase airflow by 35% but take up less space in the device.

Acer Predator Triton has a minimalist design with straight contours and angled front elbows that wear a modest black chassis. There is a large Corning Gorilla Glass glass over the keyboard that serves as a window into the notebook cooling system, featuring a 3D AeroBlade Fan and five heat pipes, and serves as a touchpad.

To drive the “monster” inside the body, the Acer Predator Triton uses the standard Intel Core Generation 7 processor, the latest high-performance NVIDIA GeForce 10-Series graphics, two SSD NV3 PCIe1 in RAID 0 configuration and 2400MHz DDR4 2400MHz up to 32GB.

In order to present a stunning gaming experience, the Predator Triton 700 supports the virtual reality that offers brilliant and bright visuals on the 15.6-inch IHD screen with NVIDIA G-SYNC support for connecting to an external monitor. Acer TrueHarmony delivers deep audio with clearer acoustics.

Related to network connectivity, Predator Triton 700 is equipped with DoubleShot Pro Networking Killer and Thunderbolt 3 Connectivity that can receive speeds up to 50 Gbps. The Predator Triton 700 also has 2 USB 3.0 ports (with USB power-off charging), 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 HDMI 2.0 port, 1 DisplayPort connector, and Gigabit Ethernet connection port using the cable.

Last is a mechanical keyboard that can respond to typing quickly and accurately and has a color backlit lamp that can be changed. If Predator Triton 700 laptop is the highest series, then there is a more “affordable” alternative that is Predator Helios 300 below.

Acer Predator Helios 300

Fortunately, Acer gives a “cheaper” price option than the Predator Triton 700. Actually, it’s not cheap, it’s still expensive, but it’s a premium for regular laptops, but the middle class for gaming. This is the Acer Predator Helios 300 which has a high enough specification and can be overclocked, but the price is half of his brother the Triton 700.

There are two types of options if Gizmolovers are interested in purchasing the Predator Helios 300, which is the type with a screen size of 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches. This laptop also has two choice of processor that is between 7th Gen Intel Core i7 processor (7700HQ) or i5 processor (7300HQ). Not only that, the graphics card can also be selected between NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or 1050Ti GPU. For heavy game lovers, the processor and graphics card you can overclock.

Acer Predator Helios 300 is already using 16GB of RAM that can be upgraded to 32 GB. As for the hard drive, the Predator Helios 300 has 1TB HDD and SATA SSD for spAcer who want to increase hard drive speed.

For connections, the Predator Helios 300 is equipped with 1 USB 3.1 Type-C port, 1 USB 3.0 port (with USB charging power-off feature), 2 USB 2.0 ports, and 1 HDMI 2.0 Connection. Wireless connections are also equipped with 2 × 2 802.11ac technology and Gigabit Ethernet port for cable connections.

Designed as an entertainment hub, Predator Helios 300 notebook line is ideally suited for both gaming and movie watching. Bright 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch FHD IPS displays provide vibrant, vivid imagery, while Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony deliver immersive audio with crisp, rich acoustics. Skype for Business Certification ensures conversations are clear and lag-free while providing a great Cortana with Voice experience.

Price tag of Acer Predator Triton 700 & Helios 300

Gizmolovers interested in having it? The Predator Triton 700 gaming notebook will be available in North America in August starting at $2,999; in EMEA in August starting at €3,399.

For a notebook, the price is expensive. Because with that kind of money, you can already use it to pay the DP (down payment) mortgage for home purchase credit or car loan DP. But this is still much cheaper than the gaming notebook output competitors Asus ROG RX800 which cost almost IDR 100 million.

Meanwhile, The Predator Helios 300 is cheaper than Triton 700. These gaming notebooks with a 15.6-inch display will be available in North America in July starting at $1,299; in EMEA in August starting at €1,199; in China in June starting at ¥9,999. The Predator Helios 300 gaming notebooks with a 17.3-inch display will be available in North America in July starting at $1,399; in EMEA in August starting at €1,199; in China in July starting at ¥9,999.
