Huawei Achieve the Third Position in the World’s Smartphone Manufacturer

Huawei shows the performance of significant growth throughout the year 2016 when most of the smartphone brands in the world are experiencing growth to stagnate. Based on the report of firm Counterpoint, global smartphone shipments have been approaching 1.5 billion units where as many as 30% of them controlled by the smartphone brands from China.

Counterpoint reports, entitled ‘The Quarterly Market Monitors Q4 2016’, shows smartphone shipments Huawei occupied the third position after Samsung and Apple with total shipments of 139 million units per Year. From these figures, the total shipments to foreign markets almost equivalent to delivery to the domestic market of China, which reached 45% of total shipments. Ranking fourth and fifth own is occupied by the brand in China, Oppo, and Vivo.

According to the data issued by various agencies of marketing research such as GfK, IDC, and Counterpoint, Huawei has seen significant growth in the global market throughout the year 2016. This growth is also driven by new breakthroughs in key markets.

For the European market, the company has demonstrated the performance that is claimed to be very good. Currently, Huawei has been known as a premium brand that leads the market, both in terms of market share and visibility of the brand. They also noted the growth of a very significant in other markets such as North Africa, Latin America, and Central Asia.

With over 10 years experience in the smartphone industry, Huawei finally managed to meet consumer expectations in providing the full technological innovation, both in the form of product, brand, marketing, service and other. The giant companies from the China have managed to position itself as a brand that is reckoned for its hardware and software.

In terms of strategy and execution globally, has led and continues to strengthen its presence in overseas markets as early as possible, invest to strengthen sales strategy, patents, and product marketing, to ensure that the flagship product can be launched without a hitch. On the sales side products, establish cooperation with various telecom operators all over the world.

At the end of the year 2016, Huawei Consumer Business Group has pocketed more than 11,000 patents and adding at least 1,500 new patent every year. In addition, it has also signed a series of intellectual property rights agreement with the big players in the telecommunications industry, such as Ericsson, Qualcomm, and Nokia. Regarding the marketing strategy, Huawei has established cooperation with well-known brands and leading in the industry, such as Leica and Porsche Design.

Huawei continues to focus on the development of new technologies and work together with experts around the world to realize the vision and mission of the company. Huawei also not stopping doing research in communication technology, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality. As a result, Huawei is proven to be able to compete in terms of design, performance, and excellent features that reinforce the presence and strengthen its position in the third position on the global market.
