Qualcomm Will Launch Snapdragon 835 at CES 2017

Qualcomm, semiconductor manufacturer from San Diego, officially announced the debut of Snapdragon 835 at a CES keynote next week. In their tweets, Qualcomm posts that this highly anticipated chipset will come with Quick Charge 4 technology which will give devices 5 hours of battery life with 5 minutes of charging. Smartphone could be charged from 0 to 50% within 15 minutes. Very fast.

Snapdragon 835 will provide consistent performance and battery usage both to devices with USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery. This next gen premium chipset will also divided charge current for more efficient thermal dissipation in order to optimize power delivery. Another innovation is INOV (Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage), an algorithm that in any given moment reads what amount of power the mobile device needs.

Snapdragon 835 with octa core processor will run on 2.2 GHz with the new Adreno 540 GPU. They claim this power will up to 30% more powerful and 40% more efficient that its predecessor Adreno 530.Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 also willl be the first 10nm FinFET SoC, allows up to 30 percent increase in area efficiency. Naturally, the improved manufacturing process will result increased performance and efficiency. Which are exactly the ingredients required for a mobile device to exhibit better battery life and performance.

Some of high-end smartphone such as Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6 and Xiaomi Mi6 are some of the reported devices that will use Qualcomm’s new chipset.
